Media Bursaries

MyView is a social media project which gave 18 young people from England the opportunity to work with professional filmmakers, to make short films that expressed their views on challenging complex global issues, such as violent extremism, identity, and freedom of expression in the media. This project was delivered in partnership with Hi8us South Ltd.

The young people were mentored throughout the project and gained the media skills to articulate their thoughts clearly and creatively and to gain confidence in using film media.

A series of short films has been developed and CCE hopes that these can be used by educators and others to help young people openly address and discuss challenging and complex topics such as extremism. MyView aims to support the Prevent strategy objective of increasing the capacity of communities to resist extremist ideologies.
