What CCE achieves

Creativity, Culture and Education is a charity established to improve the lives of young people by helping them to access more culture and creativity.

Through Creative Partnerships and other programmes, we intervene in schools to improve the educational experience enabling young people to realise their potential. We focus on the most deprived communities in England.

Our success is measured by our research and we quantify our impact in a number of ways. This includes independent reviews of our work, Ofsted inspections and surveys of school leaders.

Results include 92 per cent of head teachers reporting an improvement in pupil confidence in schools where we work, and young people taking part in Creative Partnerships out-performing the national average at key stage three by a statistically significant margin, where the location of their school would predict below-average results. For more information, see our research.

"The curriculum is extensively enriched through the school’s Creative Partnerships, which contribute positively to pupils’ social development... There is evidence that more innovative learning strategies are developing as the project impacts positively on the effectiveness of teaching." Ofsted report for Islington Arts & Media School, March 2004
